A wonderful quote....

"And what is an authentic madman? It is a man who preferred to become mad, in the socially accepted sense of the word, rather than forfeit a certain superior idea of human honor. So society has strangled, in its asylums, all those it wanted to get rid of or protect itself from, because they refused to become its accomplices in certain great nastinesses. For a madman is also a man whom society did not want to hear and whom it wanted to prevent from uttering certain intolerable truths."

True, but not the intolerable truth..Caveman antics are here to stay...Lunacy and moral perversions of all kinds are championed every day.

An intolerable truth would be one of genetic inequality,of rape and ruin and witnessing this ignominious treatment through the hands of an impenitent intolerable truth!

yep, def would be food for thought.... intolerable cruelty... the hindu widow... even worse, the 20 something hindu divorced girl...dowry demands....i guess with the teeming millions... testosterone n' lack of it... the treatment meted out to each respective group in itself has to be an intolerable truth...not even the tip of the ice berg... sometimes to exist in todays society, in itself would be to live an intolerable truth...morose, but time and tide leaves us that way..

ps: pardon the common indian male thing... i seem to be tiring of them these days.. and yes, in my book, every indian man is branded so unless proven otherwise.

I would give you the benefit of doubt for you mentioned 'each respective group'.

Society is nothing but me and you. It's counted as a third entity. Quite analogous to how a civilian blames a policeman for corruption. Your dad is a policeman, my cousin is a policeman...it's a profession but sadly has been defined as a new breed for ladies and gentlemen of anthropology to ponder about.

I didn't take that personally, however, in the process of meeting so many stereotypes and defying each, you might slowly turn into a branded book yourself!

touched a nerve.. felt good.

hmm.. always thought madmen were authentic geniuses.

There's a thin line between a prodigal man and a madman...for it's only a matter of choice if the genius decides to go mad.

The Vice Versa, however, is not possible.
